The Central Park of Thyon was reserved for the girls this weekend. The resort of the canton of Valais welcomed - under the sun (!) - the final of the NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR 09-10, the first Swiss circuit of exclusively femine "freestyle" competitions. 24 girls, coming from the five qualifying rounds, took part in the event. The level of the riders was very impressive either in snowboard or in ski !

The girls were honoured this weekend on the Central Park in Thyon (VS) for the final of the first edition of the NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR. A line of modules, including kickers of 12 and 15 m and a series of modules of jib (boxe down, rail down, tube, up-flat-down boxe, wave boxe, flat-down boxe, c-boxe and tree) were especially prepared by the Central Camps team for the event.

The competition started in the morning with a qualifying part. The 24 competitors had 2 runs to convince the judges. The level was particularly high during the qualifications with some big backflips, frontflips, 540° and 360° on the jumps ! After two hours of "jam session" 13 girls were chosen to participate in the final in the afternoon.

During the final the judges were impressed by the technique and the style of Isabel Derungs. The snowboarder from Zurich assured all runs of the final either on the jumps or on the modules of jib. She made some big back 540° and switch back 180° on the kickers of 12 and 15 m ! Isabel Derungs got a prize money of CH 2000.- and an invitation to participate in the NIKITA CHICKITA EUROPE in Serfaus in Austria. Second came Elena Könz. The Swiss girl made some big back 360° and 540° on the jumps and made backflip on the boxe down. She received CHF 1500.-. Laura Berry completed the podium. The Englisch rider showed polyvalency during this final with a series of back and front 360° on the kickers, frontboard on the down-boxe, 360° on the flat-boxe, boardslide 270 out on the c-boxe. A run which brought her CHF 500.-.

In ski the girls made big things. Sarah Martinais impressed the judges with enormous 540° and 360° on the jumps and several sex change on the modules of jib. The French skier was rewarded by a contract of a year by K2 ski and prize money of CHF 900.-. She was followed by Emilie Cruz, another skier from France, who made 720°, backflips and frontflips on the kickers. This second place enabled her to receive CHF 400.-. The czech skier Mozna Barbora finished third with several 360° on the jumps and sex changes on the modules of jib.

The final of the NCST 09-10 was followed by an enormous party at the disco "Underground" in Les Collons. DJ Madkid, DJ Adri and DJ Kab enflamed the people until 4h30 in the morning.

"Hey men ! Ladies First ! Please...."

On Saturday March 20 Thyon welcomes one of the most expected events of this season in the Swiss "freestyle" circle : the final of the first edition of NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR, a circuit of events in ski and snowboard reserved for the girls. About thirty riders, qualifyed during the rounds in Leysin, Adelboden, Hoch Ybrig and Crans-Montana will meet in the Central Park in order to try to get the CHF 5000.- prize money.

The girls will be honoured in the Central Park in Thyon on Saturday March 20. The resort of the Canton of Valais welcomes the final of the first edition of NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR. More then 30 competitore, in ski and snowboard, coming from the four qualifying rounds, are expected for this event.

Several modules of different levels will be at disposal. On the top of the park, two lines of kickers of 12m, 14m and 5-6 m. At the bottom, three lines of jib : down-boxe, flat-boxe, c-boxe, tube, tree, pic-nic table, down rail, up-flat-down boxe and wave-boxe.

The qualifications will be held in the morning from 10h30 to 12h30, followed by the final in the afternoon from 13h30 to 15h30. The results will be given at 18h00 at the disco "Underground".

CHF 5000.- prize money and a lot of prizes will be shared between the podiums of this first final of NCST ! The snowboard winner will receive an invitation for the competition NIKITA CHICKITA EUROPE which will be held in Serfaus (A) on Saturday April 10.

In the evening there will be a enormous "Ladies Night" at the "Underground". Two sets of DJs funks, hip-hop and electro will inflame the dancefloor from 22h00 onwards. Entrance free.

In spite of the storm 11 girls took part in the last qualifying round of NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR. The event took place in the snowpark of Crans-Montana (VS) on Saturday March 6.

Because of the bad weather the event took place only on one line : a kicker of 5-6 m followed by a series of boxes and rails (rainbow, c-boxe, down-flat boxe, flat-boxe, flat-dow boxe and wave boxe). The girls had one hour and a half of jam session to decide between one or the other.

The Italian snowboarder Domitilla Mattei distinguished herself with own runs composed of beautiful back 360° on the kicher. With very technique tricks and well styled on the jib Laura Berry, from England, ranked second. The local of the stage, Léa Klaue, joined them on the podium.

The skier Fanny Andrey from Bulle made the most beautiful runs either on the kicker or on the jib. She is followed very close by Nicole Berra and Axelle Marchon.

These six girls are the last qualifyed for the big final of NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR 09-10 which will be held in Thyon (VS) on March 20.

Crans-Montana welcomes the last event qualifier of the NCST 09-10 on March 6: the ultimate occasion for the riders to win their ticket for the Final in Thyon on march 20 ! The contest will take place on the snowpark of Aminona.

Two lines of modules will be at disposal of the girls : A kicker line with 5-6 meters and 8-9 meters jumps and a jib line with c-boxe, s-rail, bonk and flat-down.-boxe. The registration will begin at 8.30 down the Aminona lift and the competion at 10.30 on the snowpark. The Final is envisaged since 13.30 till 15.00 pm.

The 3 best skiers and snowboarders will win their ticket for the Final of the NCST on March 20 ( prize money : CHF 5000.- )

10 girls have taken part in the 3rd qualifying round of the NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR in Adelboden on February 20. The event took place on the Gran Masta Park. The czech Zuzana Stromkova and the english Jo Chastney won the ski and snowboard contest.

A line of jumps of 6-8 m and a line of jib with a series S-Boxe, rainbow and wall ride were at the disposal of the riders.

Zuzana Stromkova was the best in ski with fine runs clean and stylish. The czech rider placed several 540° and 360° on the kickers and mastered perfectly the modules of jib. At her side on the podium another czech skier, Mozna Barbora.

The competition was harder for the snowboarders. At the final, Jo Chastney made the difference with a series back 180° switch back 5 on the jumps and 360° on the wallride. The english rider amazed the judges with fine runs on the line of jib. Nice performance too for Gilly Seagrave, another english rider who showed creativity in varying her tricks on the kickers (front 360°, back 180°, cab 360° and switch back 180° and 360° !) At the third place : The slovene Klaudia Medlovà who made a big impression on the judges with her back-flip and attempts of rodeo 180°.

The five winners got their ticket for the final of NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR in Thyon on March 20 !

The second qualifying round of NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR welcomed 20 riders this saturday in Hoch Ybrig. The girls came from all parts of Switzerland and even from Austria (!) in order to attend the event.

Again the level of the competition was impressive during this second round of NCST either in snowboard or in ski. The girls had a box, a series of kickers of 10 and 8 m, a down-rail and a quarter-pipe at their disposal.

In snowboard Isabel Derungs made the difference with a faultless technique and her own style. Her best final run : a boardslide switch off on the box, 540° back and switch-back 180° on the kickers, nose press on the dow-rail and 360° on the quarter-pipe. Chani Michaux, originating from South America, is very close to her with varied and very technique runs on the modules of NBC Snowpark, especially a series of 360° back-180° back on the kickers and front-lip on the down-rail. Andrea Binkert especially secured her final runs, with 180° back and cab 180° very clean on the tables.

The first and second place in ski was very difficult to award by the judges. Andrea Beerli and Silvana Casutt both sent huges 540° and 360° on the kickers. Finally Andrea wins shortly with the lipslides very technical on the down-rail. Anke Brunner completes the podium with secured final runs, especially on the two kickers with a series of straight-air and 360°.

THREE CHEERS FOR THE 6 WINNERS IN HOCH YBRIG !

They are expected in Thyon on March 20 for the final of NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR !

After Leysin and Montreux, The NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR goes to the german speaking Switzerland for two « slopestyles » competitions during February.

The girls are awaited at first on Saturday February 6th in the canton of Schwyz in Hoch Ybrig. A special snowpark will be created purposely for the event by the crew of NBC Snowpark ! Several modules (kickers and jib) will be at disposal of the riders.

The NCST will go after in the Bernese resort of Adelboden on February 20th for the third qualificative contest. The competition will take place by the famous Gran Masta Park.

Montreux will remember this Friday evening on the Market place for a long time!

The MONTREUX JIB FESTIVAL dedicaded his openning evening to the girls and they answered present ! 13 snowboarders and 6 skiers sprang on the modules prepared by Orgiride, the organizing association of the event.

Léa Laveau signed the most beautiful performance in snowboard during the Final. The rider from Vaud crossed all the modules ( !) including one lip nose slide on the down rail with style and cleanless. The winner of the first round of the NCST in Leysin, Elena Könz, follow her with engaged runs in particular one 50/50 on the down rail follow-up of a boardslide nose press to switch on the flat boxe. The rider of Valais Ghislaine Albasini finish with the third rang with a final run in teil press on the dow boxe and on the flat boxe.

Emilie Cruz imposed itself of accuracy in front of Nina Michel and Sarah Pinton. The french skier, victorious in Leysin, posed all of their tricks during the Final including one impressing in input witch on the flat-down boxe. Nina Michel unfortunately did not succeed their final runs after their incredible qualification run and misses by little the first functioning of the podium. The swiss skier impressed the judges with sexe-changes on the pic-nics tables. The french skier Sarah Pinton complete the podium with nice runs ont the dow rail.

After the first « slopestyle », the NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR is going in the middle of Montreux for a fat jib session!

The girls are with the honor at the MONTREUX JIB FESTIVAL this Friday night !

The Market place of Montreux will be transformed into jib town for 3 days of competition. The team of Orgiride will put several rails and boxes on the slope.

The girl’s competition will begin at 7 o’clock pm ! It’s will be possible to test the modules since 5 o’clock pm.

19 girls took part to the 1st round of the NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR in Leysin January 16.

Two lines were prepared by the crew of the Leysin Park : A kicker line of 10 and 5 meters and a jib line with a sequence of 3 rails (flat, down, flat and down boxe or up rail).

The competition started at 11 o’clock with 2 hours of qualification. 6 skiers and 6 snowboarders won their ticket for the Final the afternoon.

In ski, Emilie Cruz was the revelation of the day with fat 720°, frontflips et backflips launched on the kickers! The young french girl won the contest behind her compatriot, Sarah Martinais, wich allured the jury with the highest and the cleanliness of her 360° on the big kicker. The podium is supplemented by Alexandra Nicole.

In snowboard, polyvalent riders dominated the Final part. Elena Könz maked the difference with the sequence 360° back et 360° front ont the kickers. Léa Laveau follow her with a beautiful 180° front on the big kicker and a cleanliness run on the jib line. Alba Wunderline joined them on the podium.

Those 6 girls are awaited for the Final of the NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR in Thyon on March 20 !

LAST MINUTE CHANGE IN OUR PROGRAM!!!

The first round of NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR on January 16, 2010 will take place IN LEYSIN (VD) (and NOT in Villars)!

The competition will take place in the form of a "slopestyle". A qualifying part will be held in the morning and a final in the afternoon.

Two lines of modules at disposal of the woman boarders. A blue line with 4 small kickers (3-5 meters) and some boxes (flat, flat and down), and a medium line with one kicker (10 meter), a flat rail and a down rail, and a bonk-barrel.

As for all the qualifying rounds of NCST 09-10 the competition of LEYSIN will distribute many prizes offered by our sponsors.

About the podiums, the three best skiers and snowboarders will receive their ticket for the final in Thyon (VS) on March 20.

For all those who will not be lucky to be among the best at the competition in Villars there is still the possibility to qualify for the final of NCST 09-10 during the rounds in Hoch Ybrig (February 6), Adelboden (February 20) and Crans-Montana (March 6). Please note that the first in ski and snowboard in MONTREUX JIB FESTIVAL on January 22 in Montreux will also qualify for Thyon.

The first meeting of the NIKITA CHICKITA SWISS TOUR took place last week in Les Diablerets !

Around 10 motivated riders came last Saturday 12.12 for the OPENING SESSION in the Budokan chalet. You can discover some pictures of the ride session on the boxe and of the « Kiss me » party : here
